Grenfell campus finds itself

We’re proud to announce the launch of Memorial University’s Grenfell Campus’ new brand. We worked with them this past year to develop the logo, tagline and a completely new brand redesign that invites students to come and “Find your corner” at Grenfell Campus, Memorial University, which is located in Corner Brook, Newfoundland and Labrador.

Grenfell is a place of energetic people who are looking to find their corner, their unique thing. So we threw ourselves into that vibe. We created a unique font, shot much of the cinema spot ourselves, even wrote and performed the spot’s music. We were inspired by the doers and creators there, and hope it’s reflected in the brand.

Keep On Listening

Last month we teamed up with the Canadian Hearing Society and hit the streets of Toronto on International Noise Awareness Day (April 25) to bring an important issue to the public.

The issue? Young people permanently damaging their hearing by listening to their music on personal media players too loudly.

The solution? Don’t just tell them to turn it down. Put something right into their hands that shows them the harm they’re doing to themselves.

We documented the event and made this video:

Manifest at Marcom

Manifest’s Chief Operating Officer, Andrea Donlan is in Ottawa today leading a session at the Marcom Professional Development Annual Forum for public and not-for-profit sector marketers and communicators.

Her session is all about a how a small budget can return big results. Informed by a recent digital campaign that we developed in support of Arthritis Awareness Month for The Arthritis Society, this session identifies the seven key questions to answer before you start any project -big or small, the difference between awareness building and driving traffic in your online efforts and the key principles behind doing things differently online for maximum results.

Breakfast of Champions (part 2)

As part of our 30th Anniversary celebrations, Manifest is holding a number of Game Changers Breakfasts featuring people from various worlds who are changing how social change happens..

This morning, for the second edition of the Game Changers Breakfasts, The City of Toronto’s Nicole Dufort came in to unpack just what made their infamous Chuck and Vince ‘We Want It’ electronics recycling campaign an unprecedented success.

A huge thanks to Nicole, our environmental sector guests, and all who made it such a great morning.

Stay tuned for the next Game Changer Breakfast announcement, sometime in Fall 2012.

If issues had a voice…online

The past few years, Manifest has been really busy doing a whole lot of digital work. No wonder — is there a social issue that can’t be helped by spreading it across the web and getting people to engage?
