Pioneered by Canadian scientists in 1961 and arguably the most significant development in modern medical science in a generation, stem cell science was lacking a champion in Canada. It was the goal of the Canadian Stem Cell Foundation to rectify this and set the stage for Canada to reclaim its leadership in the field.
We created a new logo and brand platform “Renew the World” that underscores the potential that science holds and the impact it will have on humanity. We created a video that eschews the standard ‘beakers and lab coats’ approach to marketing science. We also created a range of communications tools, stakeholder resources and a website that calls on Canada and Canadians alike to support stem cell research.
What did we change? The CSCF brand platform has helped contribute to CSCF’s many successes – from attracting thousands of signatories to the Stem Cell Charter to winning one of the most significant industry awards for the website (Webby Award for Activism) to attracting new corporate and major donor support to the recent awarding of $3.1 million by the Ontario Government to create the Ontario Institute for Regenerative Medicine.
